Georges Chakra in Paris Fashion Week

Participating in Paris Fashion Week, the Winter-Fall 2009-2010 Couture show of designer Georges Chakra was held on July 7, 2009, at the La Cité de L'Architecture et du Patrimoine.

Known for his glamorous chic touch, Chakra's Fall/Winter collection revisited the 1920's era, and presented the designer's styled version of the Twenties. Fluidity is the key word when describing this exquisite new line, where complex workmanship and challenging contrasts are seen in each of the forty-four looks presented.

Asymmetrical cuts, angel wings, jeweled shoulders, daring lace straps, sequins, gemstones and velvet... forms and fabrics come in an endless variety. A charming collection with autumnal tonalities and shades ranging from black to midnight blue to teal, from burgundy to red, from khaki to gold and bronze, from gray to metallic silver.

The wedding dress, subtle note mark, closed the fashion show with its amazing romantic charm.

Characterized by masterful contradictions, the Fall/Winter 2009-2010 collection from Georges Chakra was at once unique, spellbinding and, above all, breathtaking.

French actresses Sandrine Bonnaire and Zoé Felix as well as a large audience of international press and VIPs gave the designer a well deserved standing ovation at the end of his show.
